Cookie statement

This page explains which cookies FittAbility uses on fittability.com and why.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can remember your settings, or track which pages you visit.

Functional cookies

These are needed for the site to work. We place them without asking, because the site cannot function without them.

Name

fittability_consent

Purpose

Remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask again on every visit

Retention

6 months

We also store a temporary session identifier while you take the Fitt Check, so your answers stay linked to each other as you move through the questions. This is removed when you finish or leave.

Marketing cookies

These are only placed if you accept them. They allow Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure how well our ads work, and to show our ads to people who resemble our visitors.

Name

_fbp

Placed by

Meta

Purpose

Recognises your browser across visits, so ad results can be measured

Retention

3 months

Name

_fbc

Placed by

Meta

Purpose

Records that you arrived through one of our ads

Retention

3 months

If you decline, these cookies are not placed and the Meta script is not loaded at all. Declining does not affect the Fitt Check — it works exactly the same either way.

What we do not use

We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites beyond what is described above, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers other than as described here.

Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. If you switch from accept to decline, cookies that were already placed are removed.

You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. How to do this differs per browser; look for “privacy” or “cookies” in your browser's settings.
